Instagram can be a fantastic channel to grow your business and ultimately grow your sales. Instagram has the highest interaction rate per 1000 followers than any other channel so it is great for really getting to know your customer.

However, posting an image a day alone is not enough to grow your account. Here are our top tips for increasing your page likes organically.

  1. Like photos in your niche

Follow people that are posting similar things to you and like their pictures. Go on their profile and like 5-10 pictures and leave a genuine comment. If they comment back then engage in conversation.

  1. Use hashtags and geotags

Adding relevant hashtags can help you grow your reach. You can have up to 30 hashtags on your posts so we recommend you use them. Interactions are highest on instagram posts with 11+ hashtags.  Geotags will help people in the area, who are also posting, see your image. You can then use this opportunity to like and comment on people that have been to the same places or restaurants as you.

  1. Share user-generated content

Create a hashtag that allows your customers to share their images with you. When people use your hashtag you can repost and tag them in the post and also reiterate the hashtag again, therefore keeping the campaign alive.

  1. Use emojis ????

Instagram says that nearly 50% of all captions and comments on Instagram now have an emoji or two. Emojis are searchable on instagram so people can find you based on the emojis that you decide to use.

  1. Create a killer bio

Make sure your bio has keywords and emojis in it to explain exactly what it is you do. These are searchable fields so this makes a huge difference. Do not include your website address in the description but make sure you add it to the website section so that it shows up as a link. Ensure that you have a good call to action, for example, ”shop today” or “download now.”

  1. Ask questions

Give your followers a reason to engage with you by asking questions in your posts. Spark a conversation with those that respond and don’t leave them hanging.

  1. Follow others

Unless you are a huge brand you really should be engaging with others and following people. It is the polite thing to do. You can target those that like your competitors posts and engage with them as you know they are already interested in your niche.
