Let’s talk about #LoveSpecs.

At a recent digital event I was handed a pair of cardboard glasses by a kind lady, with no explanation other than ‘put them on’. As a man who’s always willing to try on a random pair of glasses by request, I naturally obliged.

All of a sudden, every light in the room exploded into a kaleidoscopic heart as the LoveSpecs took effect.

‘Awesome!’ I said, far too loudly.

The lady went on to explain that the specs were created by a charity called
Love Support Unite to raise money whilst spreading the word about their support work in Malawi. LSU are a dynamic, grass roots charity changing lives everyday with their unique model of sustainable education.

They partner with communities in Malawi to create sustainable solutions to poverty in order to bring about lasting and measurable change through a holistic model of development in adult literacy, education, enterprise, water, health and nutrition.

Love at first sight

After I returned back to CandidSky HQ, the team had tons of fun trying out the specs for themselves (photographic evidence below) so we decided to spread the love and send a pair to each of our clients on Valentines Day, whilst donating to the cause on their behalf.

Each card was personalised with the client’s name and included information about the charity as well as a pair of LoveSpecs. It’s a small gesture, yes, but if Tesco is right about anything it’s that every little helps.
